2025 October

This is the last piece for October, and it happens to be the twelfth work this month. I feel anxious about my productivity. On one hand, I need to study and improve myself. However, learning means no finished products. But how can I tolerate myself when I'm unable to create work that I'm satisfied with?

《Floater》This piece was drawn as a composition practice for an online class. The location in the picture is a forest lake in the Border Forest. He had known about this place since he was a child, but they rarely went there because the lake looked deep and dangerous.

《Plant Flowers on the Cliffside》The town they lived in was by the sea, and in the summer, the beach was often full of tourists. Following the slope uphill, the noise and atmosphere of the town are left behind. After passing through a few trees and bushes, you arrive at this place. This is their secret base, where you can take in the entire golden coastline. "Don't you think it would be more romantic to plant some flowers here?" he said.

The mask's design was finalized at this point. It was genuinely difficult to design. After all, so many killer masks are already iconic (or deeply ingrained in people's minds). A plain white mask, while eerie, doesn't seem to have a strong personal style. So, let's add lipstick! There's a specific, unsettling dissonance: he has these solid, muscular arms, yet wears a mask with a woman's face

《Glasses》This was my first attempt at an illustration featuring small props. Tovagh is actually nearsighted, but he doesn't wear glasses because he feels they don't fit his image. By the way, the title of the book on the side is actually "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer."

《Sitting Position》Technically, he wouldn't be caught dead in shorts; they are for little boys, after all. But I still went with them anyway to spare myself from drawing a ton of complicated fabric folds and muscle work. Btw, that thing on his right arm is a hair band.

The concept for this character actually appeared in K's backstory a long time ago, but I struggled to find a fitting visual design for him. When I finally designed him, I realized he had no defining features, so I decided to use the ushanka as his anchor point.
